What is High 5 Long Island and how does it work? The purpose of High 5 is to develop young audiences by making the arts affordable and accessible to students. The High 5 program enables students in middle school, high school, or college between the ages of 13 and 19 to purchase tickets for any High 5 event for only $5 each, unless otherwise noted.
High 5 Tickets to the Arts was chartered as an independent, non-profit organization in New York City in 1995. The program has been highly successful in New York City, where thousands of students have taken advantage of the discounted tickets. High 5 Long Island, a national affiliate of the New York City program, is administered by the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport.
