The Long Island Arts Council at Freeport is committed to the idea that the power of the arts is to touch the individual and community through advocacy and education.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 
Arts Networking Opportunities: artists and arts professionals meet, interact, and exchange ideas
Artists for Hire: recommends artists and cultural organizations for employment and exhibit opportunities
Musical Instrument Marketplace: donates instruments to schools and individuals in underserved communities

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Access to the Arts: discounted cultural tickets for teenagers; special teen programming, such as the Teen Reviewers and Critics Program and Juried Photography Show
Jane Fenyo Memorial Arts Scholarship: arts scholarship for a high school senior 

INFORMATION SERVICES

Culture Calendar: an online schedule of performances, exhibits, and special events presented by the Arts Council and its Affiliates
Artist Directory: an online directory of artists and organizations 
Mailings and e-mails to artists and cultural organizations on current arts news and professional opportunities
Display of Promotional Literature: postings on community bulletin boards

Juried Photography Show: juried exhibit and reception
The Art Alcove, The Art Annex, and Sculpture Garden: exhibit spaces

Summer Sunset Concert Series at the Esplande on the Nautical Mile: free outdoor summer concerts

Freeport Walking Trail: a health walk on the Nautical Mile
Freeport Streetscape Banner Program: a beautification project
Participation in festivals, parades, and other community events
